SCOTTISH FOLDS!!!!!

As many of you know my family use to show dogs and cats. Well my dearest cat, Mocha, was a Scottish Fold and when he passed in 2003 I swore I'd never have another cat....of course then 2-3 years later I saved Jack but he's defiantly a cat, not a fold (yes there's a difference), that would rather be outside killing something then inside with the servants (Adam and I) that feed him.
Anyway, Adam's friends have a fold (Flux) and a straight ear (Libby) that their son is allergic to so they will become part of our family this weekend. So here's Libby (6 yrs) and Flux (2 yrs).

I can't say I've been this excited in a while. I know these two will be the best cuddle bugs!
UPDATE
Libby and Flux are home at our house. Libby is too good to give the dogs the time of day or direct eye contact and already sleeping with Adam and I. Flux has made himself forts under both beds and is planning a slow entrance into the house. The dogs are so curious about them but with a baby gate to seperate them I imagine Libby will always think she's too good for them and Flux will need his space a few weeks. BUT both are super sweet, loving purr boxes and beautiful!

Paint N Party

Last night Mom and I went to Paint N Party at 2012 Magnolia Ave in Bham. Kelly (the instructor) was wonderful! Mom has painted many times before but this was my first attempt. It was only $35 and it covered all supplies needed for the painting, snacks and wine from 6-9pm. Also, $10 of the fee went to the Skipper fund at the GBHS.
We're hoping to have a similar one for Cross My Heart soon.
I painted Maggie for Adam and Mom did Buddy for Dad, he doesn't know yet though.

Play time!

Here's the kids playing last night on the hammock....such silly babies.

Butterflies

here's a few butterflies from the trip Adam and I made to the Birmingham Zoo last Tuesday (FYI Tuesdays are 1/2 price admission days). I love that they have the butterfly encounter now. Luckily we'd gotten there just in time to see some of the butterflies emerging from the cocoons.

UPDATE! June 24, Annie has been ADOPTED! She lives next door to her 2nd foster and will be the only dog with a 13 year old boy and 19 year old girl to play with. congrats ANNIE!

Oscar got a haircut

I've been giving Oscar time to gain weight before I groomed him...well now that he's 15 lbs I started removing mats yesterday afternoon and then he looked silly so I shaved him down. I think he's adorable, Michael (my brother) thinks he looks like a squirrel

Saturday fun

Here's a couple pics of the "kids" playing Saturday
