The big 3-0...and more

So today I'm 30 and most people know I just don't think my birthday is all that big of a deal but this year is different. I started my day today with a short visit from Mom. She brought me my present that she'd made me. I asked her to paint her version of a painting I saw in an ad. I never could decide how big or where I wanted it so I never got back with her but she painted it perfectly, I couldn't have asked for it to be more perfect. It brought tears to my eyes...and then after I curled back in bed with Bella for a morning snuggle to read the letter Mom had written me I just broke down. She's a remarkable woman and I hope to grow into the woman/mother she is one day.

Adam also reminded me how my birthday is important to others. he wrote the sweetest card and surprised me with all new paints so I can attempt to learn to paint like mom can. I love him so much and can't believe how lucky I am to have such a good, kind, caring man that loves me to death. Truly blessed!

Also, this past Saturday Mom and I drove to ATL to deliver Flux (CJ) to Susan (his new mom in NY) and she was a wonderful woman. I certainly enjoyed meeting her and greatly appreciated the birthday gift though I think I rattled off too much information to her absorb but know he's in a perfect home to live his life and believe they'll love each other completely in no time. Way to go Flux!
