Charlie has a foster home, gets along with cats, dogs and does well with children. He doesn't seem to appreciate whole male dogs or dogs that rush him and get into his face (we assume because his depth perception isn't good with only one eye) but if a dog is respectful then they're friends!
Charlie is an indoor only dog, if left unattended in the fenced backyard Charlie will escape and come looking for you (usually tries the front door first). He prefers to go out, do his business and then come straight in, he doesn't waste time outside because he'd rather be inside with people.
He's very smart and pas very close attention to the people in his life. He stays on the rug in his foster's living room all day and waits for her to come home (NO accidents & he's never chewed or destroyed anything inside). He has excellent manners and is a true gentleman.

UPDATE 10/1/10
Charlie has a foster home starting 10/10/10 so between now and then he'll be visiting the vet, neutered, UTD and check over very well 10/4/10

Charlie is apparently a stray or was dumped in a neighborhood in Gardendale, AL.
He starts wagging his tail as soon as he sees you and just wants to be petted (especially belly rubs); he likes to play and loves treats (very gentle when taking from your hand). He is very sweet.
He IS missing his right eye, but it doesn't see to bother him (though a vet does need to see it). he is NOT neutered but gets along with dogs and doesn't seem to care one way or another about cats. He seems very loyal to the last person that feeds him and stays close; walks close without a leash and stops when you stop...seems to have had training to someone has spent a great deal of time with him.
He is possibly a Golden Retriever/Spitz mix and seems young (teeth are clen but definitely adult). I will be going to meet him personally in the next few days....
If anyone can foster him or is interested in a foster-to-adopt or giving him a furever home PLEASE email Diana at bayleighsmom05@yahoo.com
